2) Leading lines lead your eye to the focus of attention, they point your eye to the main subject in the photo. 3) Light, subject matter & movement, and texture. 4) Mergers 5) Birds eye view and Bugs view. This quote is important to me because some people think that the device is what makes you good at photography, but it's not. Just because you don't have the most expensive camera doesn't mean you don't have an eye for art. There are people in the world who don't have the means to buy a nice camera, and probably have a better "eye" than people who do. Give yourself credit for the art you make, even if it isn't from expensive equipment.
After learning about many people who helped contribute to the history and making of photography, I would have to say that Louis Daguerre was the most influential because he helped shorten the time to capture the picture, and he created the daguerreotype.
Cameras have changed throughout the years by capturing photos in eight hours, to instantly. They have also changed by becoming more complex and smaller. Knowing the history of photography has made me more appreciative of all the people in the past who went through hard work to get it so much more simple to capture images. |
